Hong Kong’s most decorated photographer, Fan Ho (1931-2016), won close to 300 international awards for his black and white photographs capturing the verve and soul of Hong Kong in the 1950s-1960s. His subjects were children playing in the streets, vendors selling all manner of items, men and women working, resting, eating, and going about their lives as well as streetscapes with interesting, sometimes geometric angles.
