Arguably the best egg tarts in Singapore, Tong Hong’s diamond-shaped versions come with a crumbly shell and a wibbly wobbly egg custard made from very fresh eggs. While some prefer a flakier tart shell (à la Portuguese egg tarts), the adoration for the egg custard filling is near unanimous. Tong Heng also makes coconut egg tarts with satisfying bits of hand shredded coconut in the custard.
